Oldbuddy is a user name I have been choosing for several Forums and Communities online, so I started working on making it easier for people to find me by that name. Some of the Forums I frequent don't allow links or disclosing your personal information, so this is the next level of simplicity. They can Google me!
I bought the domain http://oldbuddy.info and worked it up to #1 on Google for the search term oldbuddy, but I'm not going to sit back and wait for someone to knock me out. I thought I would use this blog to tell about some of the advertising strategies I am trying out, who knows if that might help others find them worth trying too.
I grab .info domain names from GoDaddy for 89 cents a year after I found out you can get them ranked, then I add them to my hosting account free. That's less than 8 cents a month to have one more way people can find me, not a bad deal if you ask me.
I have finally reached the point where earning money is not as much of a priority, since I have that on a roll. Who knows how long it will last, but for the time being I am as happy as a pig in the mud.
